Ranchi, July 2: A disturbing incident unfolded in the Sukdev Nagar area of Ranchi when the body of an auto driver was discovered in a drain on Thursday. The deceased has been identified as Rohit Kumar Singh, a resident of Sukdev Nagar. His family has accused one of his friends of murder. The police are investigating all aspects of the case.
According to police reports, local residents spotted the body of a young man in the drain at Vidyanagar and promptly informed the Sukdev Nagar police station. Upon receiving the information, the police arrived at the scene, secured the body, and initiated the process to send it for post-mortem examination.
Initial information suggests that Rohit Kumar Singh was an auto driver. It is reported that he attended a drinking party with acquaintances on Wednesday night. After the party concluded, everyone left, but his body was found in the drain the following day.
Rohit’s family has filed a written complaint at the Sukdev Nagar police station, alleging that one of Rohit’s friends murdered him and disposed of his body in the drain. Following the incident, the accused and his companions have reportedly fled the area.
The Sukdev Nagar police have stated that they are investigating the case based on the family’s complaint.
