Bhopal, March 5: Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan celebrated his birthday on Thursday with his family. He made this special day meaningful by planting trees. On this occasion, he emphasized the importance of reflecting on how to make the most of the remaining time in our lives each year.
Chouhan stated, “Birthdays are celebrated with joy and happiness. While there is joy all around, I often think about how another year has passed and how to make the best use of the time that remains.” He believes that birthdays provide an opportunity to commit to improving our lives and contributing to society.
He expressed that we all share a common consciousness. Not only humans but also animals, birds, insects, and plants are part of this consciousness. Therefore, we should maintain love and respect for every living being and nature. He referenced our scriptures, which say ‘Atma tat sarva bhuteshu,’ meaning all creatures are akin to us. With this sentiment, we should love everyone and stay away from hatred, violence, or conflict.
Chouhan believes that the greatest form of love is in service. When we help others or serve them, our love manifests in its truest form. He declared that his resolution this birthday is to work for society with a spirit of service and love. He also prioritized environmental conservation, stating that everyone understands how essential trees are for our lives. Trees provide oxygen, fruits, and shade.
He shared that he had planted small saplings years ago, which have now grown and started bearing fruit. Today, he planted new saplings to promote the message of environmental protection. He urged that if every individual takes small steps to serve the environment, both our world and society can become beautiful and secure.
