Shiv Senas Sanjay Nirupam Calls for Action Against CJP Protest Organizers in Mumbai

Mumbai, October 3 (Daily Kiran) : Sanjay Nirupam, spokesperson for the Shiv Sena, expressed his support for the recent approval of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) bill in Gujarat, advocating for its implementation across India. He condemned the recent protest organized by the Cockroach People’s Party (CJP) at Shivaji Park, which took place despite a police ban, and called for legal action against the organizers and attendees for violating the law.

Nirupam stated, “The national religion of India is Hinduism. This tradition has existed for over 5,000 years. Our culture and country are built upon this religious foundation. Whenever our religion has weakened, it has led to plundering and devastation in India. Therefore, to ensure the safety of our nation and its citizens, it is essential that our religion stands strong and is protected.”

Regarding the UCC bill, he emphasized the need for uniform laws governing marriage, divorce, property inheritance, and adoption across all religions. The recent presidential approval of the UCC in Gujarat signifies its implementation in the state.

Addressing the CJP protest, Nirupam pointed out that the Mumbai police had prohibited any gatherings at Shivaji Park. He accused the CJP leaders of inciting their followers to gather there in defiance of the law. He suggested that legal cases should be filed against the primary leaders of the CJP, as well as against all participants.

Nirupam stressed that individuals cannot assemble solely on constitutional grounds without permission. He noted that the government has designated Azad Maidan for such protests, urging anyone wishing to demonstrate to seek permission from the police to avoid disturbing local residents.

He concluded by reiterating the necessity of implementing a Uniform Civil Code in India.
