Shiv Sena Supports Amit Shahs Call for Uniform Civil Code in Telangana

Shiv Senas Telangana unit endorses Amit Shahs support for the Uniform Civil Code, urging its implementation across the country.

Hyderabad, November 1 (Daily Kiran) : The Shiv Sena‘s Telangana unit has expressed strong support for Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s recent statements advocating for the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC). The party is calling for the UCC to be enacted not only in Telangana but throughout India.

Amit Shah announced that if the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secures a third term in Uttar Pradesh, the UCC will be effectively implemented in the state. Following this declaration, Shiv Sena leaders emphasized that the UCC should be adopted nationwide.

Sincaru Shivaji, president of Shiv Sena’s Telangana unit, stated, “Amit Shah has made a positive statement regarding the UCC. We welcome this announcement and believe it should be applied across the country.” He further noted that a Uniform Civil Code is essential for ensuring true equality, equal rights, and gender justice.

Shivaji urged Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to support this initiative from the central government and collaborate on implementing the UCC in the state. He stressed that this issue should not be viewed through a narrow political lens.

Additionally, Shivaji called for the principle of “One Nation, One Law,” advocating for a legal framework that guarantees gender equality and equal rights for all citizens. He proposed replacing the diverse laws governing different religious communities—such as Hindus, Muslims, Christians, and Jains—especially those related to divorce and civil matters, with a unified legal system.
