Sharad Pawar Hospitalized in Pune, Health Update Provided by Supriya Sule

Sharad Pawar has been hospitalized in Pune due to chest pain following a cough. His health is stable, according to family updates.

Pune, November 2 (Daily Kiran) : Sharad Pawar, the leader of the Nationalist Congress Party, was admitted to a private hospital in Pune on Monday. He experienced chest pain following a persistent cough.

Pawar is currently receiving routine medical tests at Ruby Hall Clinic, where he remains under close observation by doctors. Dr. Parvez K. Grant, the chief cardiologist and chairman of the clinic, confirmed his admission and stated that the veteran politician’s condition is stable.

Dr. Grant explained, “Sharad Pawar was admitted for a general health check-up and medical monitoring after reporting chest pain. We expect his condition to improve, and he will be kept under medical supervision as a precaution.”

In light of public concern, Pawar’s daughter and Lok Sabha MP Supriya Sule took to social media to reassure everyone that her father’s vital health parameters are normal and stable. She noted, “Baba has been admitted to Ruby Hall Clinic after experiencing a cough. His medical tests are ongoing, and all health parameters are stable. Thank you for your concern and good wishes.”

Party representatives and medical officials have urged well-wishers and party workers to remain calm and refrain from spreading rumors. They emphasized that with adequate rest and monitoring, Sharad Pawar is expected to recover.

Earlier, on November 1, Pawar visited drought-affected areas in Solapur district, where he assessed the ground situation, evaluated crop damage, and interacted directly with impacted farmers. During his visit to Tulshi village in Mardha taluka, which is facing severe water shortages, he announced a relief package of 5 million rupees.

Pawar highlighted that providing drinking water, fodder for livestock, and employment assistance are his top priorities. He mentioned that over 135 water tankers are being dispatched to approximately 139 affected villages in Solapur, with 110 of those needed in Mardha taluka alone.

He also declared that his family would not celebrate Diwali traditionally this year, choosing instead to focus on drought relief efforts and supporting the affected farming communities. Additionally, he called on political parties to set aside their differences and collaborate on drought relief initiatives, urging both state and central governments to provide immediate financial assistance to farmers.
