Sanjay Nirupam Calls for Deportation of Actor Imran Khan Over Citizenship Concerns
Shiv Senas Sanjay Nirupam demands deportation of actor Imran Khan if he is not an Indian citizen after his arrest during a protest.

New Delhi, October 13 (Daily Kiran) : Bollywood actor Imran Khan’s participation in a protest organized by the Cockroach People’s Party in Mumbai has sparked controversy. Sanjay Nirupam, a spokesperson for the Shiv Sena, has raised questions about Khan’s citizenship status. He has called for the cancellation of Khan’s visa and his deportation if he is found to be a foreign national.
Nirupam criticized Khan, labeling him a “failed actor” without any current film projects. He suggested that Khan joined the protest to gain media attention, which ultimately led to his arrest by the Mumbai police.
The spokesperson emphasized that if Khan is indeed a foreign citizen, he should not be involved in political movements against the Indian government. Given his participation in the protest, Nirupam insists that authorities should take immediate action to revoke Khan’s visa and deport him from India.
Additionally, Nirupam mentioned that a related case involving Gyanesh Kumar is pending in the Supreme Court, with a petition filed by Congress and its allies. He noted that the outcome will depend on the court’s decision. Meanwhile, he criticized Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party for attempting to create chaos under the guise of a movement against the Chief Election Commissioner, urging them to approach the situation with more understanding, as the matter is now in judicial hands.
