Seoul, October 12 (Daily Kiran) — A new leak from an early One UI 8.5 build has revealed the first visual reference to Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Buds 4, suggesting that the next-generation earbuds could come with a noticeable design change.

The finding, reported by Android Authority, comes from an icon buried within the firmware, labeled “list_ic_earbuds_buds4” — confirming that the image indeed represents the Galaxy Buds 4.

Subtle Yet Distinct Design Shift

Although the icon is a rough sketch, comparing it with the Galaxy Buds 3 icon from the same software clearly shows design differences. The new shape suggests Samsung might be refining the earbuds’ ergonomics or stem design, possibly aiming for improved fit, sound performance, or microphone placement.

Launch Could Be Near

The inclusion of the Buds 4 icon in Samsung’s software ecosystem typically indicates that the launch is not far away. The Galaxy Buds 3 series debuted in July 2024, making the next generation slightly overdue for an upgrade.

However, with no official details or certifications appearing yet, it’s unclear whether Samsung plans to unveil the Galaxy Buds 4 and Buds 4 Pro later this year or push the release into early 2026.

For now, the firmware leak offers the clearest hint yet that Samsung is preparing the next wave of its premium wireless audio lineup, likely alongside future Galaxy smartphones.
