Mumbai, April 10: OnePlus has unveiled the SUPERVOOC 100W Dual Ports GaN Power Adapter Lite in India, coinciding with the launch of the Nord 6 smartphone. This innovative charger utilizes third-generation Gallium Nitride technology, offering high output in a compact design, catering to users who require rapid charging for multiple devices.
The adapter features a dual-port configuration, including one USB-A port and one Type-C port. It supports both single and dual-device charging, dynamically allocating power based on usage. When using a single port, the charger can deliver up to 100W via SUPERVOOC fast charging or up to 65W through Power Delivery. When both ports are in use, it intelligently distributes power with a combined maximum output of 100W.
In terms of dual-port configurations, the adapter supports various output splits depending on the connected devices. These include combinations of 33W + 33W, 30W + 18W, 67W + 33W, and 45W + 18W. For single-port output, it technically supports 11V at a maximum of 6.1A or 11V at 9.1A.
The charger is designed to support a wide array of charging standards, including SUPERVOOC, Power Delivery 3.0, PPS, Quick Charge, and UFCS. This ensures compatibility with smartphones, tablets, and laptops from various brands.
From a hardware perspective, the adapter is constructed from polycarbonate material for its outer shell. It measures 55 x 30.5 x 70 mm, including the height of the pins, and weighs approximately 150 grams. The compact size is made possible by GaN technology, which allows for tighter internal component placement while ensuring thermal efficiency. The charger is rated for an input range of 100 to 240V at 50 or 60Hz with 2.1A support, making it ideal for international use.
OnePlus claims that the adapter achieves up to 90% conversion efficiency, minimizing energy loss and heat generation during operation.
