Bhopal, May 8: Maharashtra’s Rudrank Balasaheb Patil secured the gold medal in the men’s 10-meter air rifle event at the 24th Kumar Surendra Singh (KSS) Memorial Shooting Championship held at the Madhya Pradesh State Shooting Academy on Friday.
Rudrank achieved a final score of 252.9, placing him at the top of the podium. Haryana’s Rohit Kanyan won the silver medal with a score of 251.9, while West Bengal’s Baiduria Biswas took home the bronze with a score of 230.8. Uttar Pradesh’s Karamjeet Singh finished fourth with a score of 209.6.
In the qualification round, Delhi’s Parth Makheja topped the standings with a score of 633.4. He was followed by Railways’ Shahu Tushar Mane with a score of 630.0, and Gujarat’s Gajjar Krish Jigneshbhai qualified third with 627.8. Rudrank Patil secured his spot in the finals with a score of 627.7, placing fourth in qualification.
West Bengal’s Ashmit Chatterjee claimed the junior men’s title in the finals with a score of 251.0. Uttar Pradesh’s Piyush Sharma earned the silver medal with a score of 250.5, while Haryana’s Rohit Kanyan won bronze with a score of 229.1. Karamjeet Singh from Uttar Pradesh finished fourth with a score of 207.9.
Piyush Sharma excelled in the qualification round, achieving a remarkable score of 631.7 to top the field. Ashmit Chatterjee qualified second with a score of 631.1, while Rohit Kanyan secured third place with 630.4. Karamjeet Singh finished fourth with a score of 629.9.
In the youth men’s final, West Bengal’s Abhinav Shaw won the title with a score of 254.4. Haryana’s Priyanshu took the silver medal with 249.7, and Haryana’s Jatin Lamba captured the bronze with a score of 228.1. Rohit Kanyan finished fourth with a score of 207.1.
In the qualification round, Haryana’s Pranav Jindal led with a score of 626.1, followed closely by Haryana’s Krish Kumar with 626.0. Rajasthan’s Nemi Chand Dudi qualified third with a score of 625.9, while Uttar Pradesh’s Jyotiraditya Gosain secured fourth place with 625.7.
