Rohit and Kohlis Experience Boosts Team Indias Performance, Says Bowling Coach Sai Raj Bhatule

Guwahati, September 29 (Daily Kiran) : Ahead of the second ODI against West Indies at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati, Team India’s bowling coach Sai Raj Bhatule highlighted the significant influence of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli on the team. Both players have been crucial in shaping the squad’s dynamics, especially after their performance in the first ODI.

In the opening match, Rohit scored 32 runs while Kohli made a remarkable unbeaten century. Praising Kohli’s performance, Bhatule remarked, “He is a player who keeps improving with every series and every match. Despite his achievements, he strives for more, which is impressive. Rohit’s presence alongside him brings invaluable experience to the team. Young players benefit greatly from their insights and the discussions they have.”

Following a stellar victory in Thiruvananthapuram, India leads the three-match series 1-0 and aims to secure the series win on Wednesday in Guwahati. Kohli’s 139 runs and captain Shubman Gill’s 110 were pivotal in the first match, while Kuldeep Yadav turned the tide by taking four wickets and restricting West Indies to 295 runs.

Bhatule noted Kuldeep’s importance as a spinner, stating, “Kuldeep has always been a match-winner for India. His performances speak for themselves, and he is committed to improving his game. He knows where he needs to focus, and he puts in the effort during practice. His experience and skills make him an asset to any team.”

With the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup approaching next year, the significance of every ODI match has increased. Bhatule emphasized that having multiple options in spin bowling gives India an advantage. He mentioned, “With Axar Patel in the team, we can assess players’ performances in upcoming tournaments and series. Ravindra Jadeja has also been performing well with both bat and ball, and I believe he will continue to be a valuable player for us. Over the last six months, he has certainly improved as a bowler.”

As Team India prepares for the next challenge, the blend of experienced players like Rohit and Kohli with emerging talents is expected to strengthen their campaign.
