Rakesh Sinha Calls for Action Against Disruptors Amid Student Protests in Jharkhand

Ranchi, September 4 (Daily Kiran) : In Ranchi, Congress leader Rakesh Sinha has called for decisive action against individuals allegedly using the student protests as a cover to incite chaos. Speaking after a meeting with the Chief Secretary on September 4, Sinha expressed concerns that certain elements linked to the BJP have infiltrated the protests to tarnish their reputation and disrupt law and order in the state.

During the meeting, Sinha clarified that the delegation did not demand action against students themselves. Instead, they provided video evidence to the Chief Secretary concerning the alleged misconduct by these infiltrators. He asserted that the students of Jharkhand are aware of their rights and do not believe in taking the law into their own hands. Sinha accused some individuals of attempting to destabilize the state’s environment under the guise of student activism.

He emphasized the importance of protecting the future of the nation’s youth, stating that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is actively supporting students’ issues. Sinha remarked that democracy thrives when the future of young people is secure. He pointed out that Gandhi is engaging with students and will stand with marginalized groups, including Dalits, tribals, and farmers, whenever they face oppression. He criticized the arrogance of those in power, suggesting it leads to the mistreatment of citizens, and reaffirmed that Congress is a party that advocates for love and unity.

On the issue of including women in the Ayodhya Ram Temple Trust, Sinha welcomed the initiative but insisted on ensuring transparency throughout the process. He noted that the Ram Temple holds significant spiritual value for millions and referenced past controversies regarding donations, mentioning that those previously implicated had been cleared by the SIT investigation.

Addressing comments made by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge regarding the Haldwani incident, Sinha reiterated that the Constitution views caste discrimination as a serious crime. He questioned whether the country would operate under the Constitution or the BJP’s laws post-2014. Sinha demanded accountability for those responsible for the alleged purification incident in Haldwani and criticized the FIR filed against Rahul Gandhi for raising the issue.
