Rahul Gandhi to Address Students in Prayagraj on August 8, Focusing on Education and Employment Issues

Prayagraj, August 1: Congress is set to launch a significant political campaign aimed at students, addressing alleged irregularities in competitive exams like NEET and CBSE, as well as employment issues. Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha, will speak at the ‘Student Dialogue’ event on August 8 at KP Ground in Civil Lines, Prayagraj. The party claims that a large number of students from various districts in Purvanchal, who are preparing for competitive exams, will attend this event.

Congress spokesperson Anshu Awasthi stated that Rahul Gandhi will engage directly with students to discuss critical topics such as the education system, alleged discrepancies in recruitment exams, paper leaks, rising educational costs, scholarships, university environments, and the future of youth. He claimed that over 150,000 young individuals have registered for the event.

The ‘Echo of Students’ campaign began on June 17 in Kota, Rajasthan, with the second phase held on July 17 in Dehradun. Initially, a program was planned for August 9 in Delhi, but due to a lack of permissions, it has now been rescheduled to August 8 in Prayagraj. The party asserts that students from Prayagraj, Kaushambi, Pratapgarh, Amethi, Raebareli, Bhadohi, Mirzapur, Varanasi, and several other districts in Purvanchal will participate. Congress is presenting this initiative as a direct dialogue with youth and a platform to raise their issues on a national level.

To finalize preparations for the event, Congress has launched a widespread campaign. A special team recently inspected potential venues in Prayagraj, ultimately selecting KP Ground as the event site. It has been announced that Rajendra Pal Gautam, the in-charge of Uttar Pradesh Congress, and state president Ajay Rai will visit Prayagraj on Sunday to review the arrangements.

The party aims to conduct the event with substantial public support, focusing on education and employment issues to hold both the central and state governments accountable. Congress believes that the voices emerging from Prayagraj, a key center for youth preparing for competitive exams, will send a significant political message on a national scale.
