New Delhi : Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi has been asked to vacate his government bungalow by April 22.
According to sources, the Lok Sabha Housing Committee on Monday issued a notice to Rahul Gandhi to vacate the government-allotted bungalow.
Rahul Gandhi was allotted the 12, Tughlaq Lane bungalow after he was elected as a Lok Sabha MP in 2004. Since then he has been living in the same residence.
It is noteworthy that Rahul Gandhi was convicted by a court in Surat in a 2019 defamation case. A day after which he was disqualified from membership in the Lok Sabha. Due to not being a Member of Parliament, now Rahul Gandhi will have to vacate his government bungalow as well.
