Punjabs Treasury Allegations Spark Political Controversy Amid CBI Raids

New Delhi, October 7 (Daily Kiran) : The political landscape in Punjab is heating up following recent CBI raids on the residence of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s Officer on Special Duty (OSD). Congress MP Amar Singh, along with other party leaders, has voiced strong criticisms regarding the situation.

Dr. Raj Kumar Verka, president of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee, stated, “After the High Court’s directive, the CBI has registered an FIR against six individuals. There has been a massive looting of the state treasury in Punjab. Arvind Kejriwal has brought in around 100 to 150 people from Delhi to loot the treasury at various offices in Punjab. We are receiving ongoing complaints about this.”

Verka emphasized that the Punjab government has failed to uphold its ‘Raj Dharma’ and instead has adhered to ‘political Dharma.’ He expressed concern over the seriousness of the issue, which the High Court has also recognized, urging that the law should be allowed to take its course.

Congress MP Amar Singh remarked, “It is evident that corruption is rampant under Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party’s government. When the ED conducted a raid, cash amounting to 21 lakh rupees was thrown from a multi-story building in Mohali. This is a clear case of corruption.”

Responding to Mann’s allegations against the BJP, Singh noted, “If they had taken any action, perhaps they wouldn’t be in this position. Delhi is running Punjab, with Kejriwal and his team in control.”

Congress leader Udit Raj commented, “They are undoubtedly corrupt. Those who are close to the highly corrupt Kejriwal are also involved in looting. However, even more looting is happening in BJP-ruled states. Why don’t the ED and CBI act there? This is a one-sided action against the opposition.”

Arshdeep Singh Kaler, chief spokesperson for the Shiromani Akali Dal, stated, “The dishonesty of those claiming to be honest has been exposed to the people of Punjab. The Chief Justice of the High Court noted in a detailed order that under Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s leadership, his OSD and others have engaged in millions of rupees worth of fraud regarding IAS and PCS transfers, selling cheap land for profit.”

Manoj Pandey, commenting on the CBI raids at Mann’s camp office and other locations, suggested that with elections approaching, the BJP’s agencies are becoming active. He claimed the government is exerting pressure on central agency officials to carry out its agenda. “One day, time will turn, and these officials will take action against BJP leaders,” he added.

Tensions continue to rise as political accusations and investigations unfold in Punjab.
