Punjab Police Uncovers ISI-Supported Terror Module, Three Arrested

Chandigarh, April 6: Punjab Police has achieved a significant breakthrough by dismantling a terrorist module supported by Pakistan’s intelligence agency, ISI. This module was reportedly operated by individuals of Indian origin living abroad. The police successfully thwarted the conspiracy and arrested three suspects. Authorities recovered two hand grenades and a Glock pistol manufactured overseas. Notably, the grenades bore markings from the Pakistan Ordnance Factory (POF), indicating a clear link to cross-border activities.

This operation was part of a coordinated effort between Punjab Police’s Counter Intelligence team and the Gujarat ATS. One suspect was apprehended in Ahmedabad. Initial investigations revealed that this module was planning a major conspiracy to target police establishments across multiple states. Thanks to the vigilance of the police, this dangerous plan was intercepted in time.

According to reports, the police have registered a case under the Explosive Substances Act and the Arms Act at the State Special Operation Cell (SSOC) police station in Amritsar. Interrogation of the arrested suspects is ongoing. The police are now focused on identifying, locating, and apprehending the remaining members of this module.

Punjab Police has reiterated its commitment to eradicating organized crime and terrorism. Ensuring public safety remains the police’s top priority. This success underscores the strength and preparedness of the police in maintaining peace in the state.

Punjab Police continues to monitor such modules closely and conducts operations regularly. Citizens are urged to report any suspicious activities to the police promptly to prevent such conspiracies from unfolding.
