Chandigarh, May 13: BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh has launched a scathing attack on Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, accusing him of employing various tactics to conceal his failures.
In a recent conversation, Chugh stated that Mann resorts to pressuring media houses and YouTubers or making false allegations to distract from his shortcomings.
He pointed out that there have been 22 bomb threats at police stations, and a rocket launcher has been used to attack the police headquarters. Bombs have exploded at gurdwaras and temples, gunfire has erupted, and police officers are being assaulted, indicating a complete breakdown of law and order.
Chugh emphasized that while the Punjab government is preoccupied with welcoming Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia, the entire state is suffering. The inability to curb the drug mafia, the failure of the ‘War Against Drugs’ initiative, and the deteriorating law and order situation have left the citizens distressed. He warned that the public will respond to these issues in the upcoming times.
Regarding the recent attack on Diljit Dosanjh’s PA, he assured that strict action would be taken against the culprits. Addressing Mann’s allegations, Chugh challenged him to provide evidence instead of making baseless claims. He noted that Dosanjh himself posted a video after meeting Prime Minister Modi, questioning who is exerting pressure.
In response to PM Modi’s appeal for fuel conservation, Chugh stated that the country is prepared. He mentioned that while reserves exist, there should be a reduction in the use of foreign products and an increase in domestic consumption. The Prime Minister’s call for discipline is welcomed by all, he added, asserting that no one can stop those who dance to the tune of foreign agendas.
On the NEET paper leak, he confirmed that a CBI investigation is underway, and the culprits will soon be apprehended and face stringent action.
