Punjab BJP Chief Wears Black Turban in Solidarity for Justice in Activists Murder Case

Punjab BJP President Kaul Singh Dhillon pledges to wear a black turban until justice is served for activist Parvinder Singh Jhottas murder.

Chandigarh, October 18 (Daily Kiran) : Punjab Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Kaul Singh Dhillon announced on Sunday that he will wear a black turban until justice is served for activist Parvinder Singh Jhotta, who was killed in a campaign against drugs. Dhillon began this gesture as a form of protest against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab.

On Saturday, he participated in a demonstration in Mansa, where supporters were calling for justice for Jhotta. During his visit, Dhillon urged the people of Punjab to also wear black turbans or scarves and carry black flags to express their dissent until justice is achieved.

Jhotta’s father, Bhim Singh, and other protesters supported Dhillon’s appeal. He emphasized that the brutal murder of a young man who stood up against drug abuse has deeply shocked the people of Punjab. “This is not just the murder of Parvinder Singh; it is an assault on law and order in Punjab,” he stated.

Dhillon expressed that he joined the protests as a member of the victim’s extended family. He called on citizens to wear black clothing and display black flags as a sign of their opposition to the current government. He underscored that the black turban symbolizes protest against the failures of the AAP administration.

In closing, Dhillon urged all Punjabis to unite in support of the grieving family, reiterating the impact of Jhotta’s death on the community and the ongoing fight against drug abuse in the region.
