Prime Minister Modi to Inaugurate Sardar Dham Building in Vadodara on May 11

Vadodara, May 6: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Gujarat on May 11. He will participate in various religious, administrative, and community events in Gir Somnath and Vadodara. Preparations are underway at multiple levels to ensure a smooth visit. The Prime Minister will begin his tour with a visit to the Somnath Temple.

Following this, he will head to Vadodara, where he will inaugurate the Sardar Dham Building-3, also known as the Shri Dushyant and Daksh Patel Complex, located near the Vaghodia Crossing. The invitation for the inauguration ceremony was sent by Gajji Sutaria, the president of Sardar Dham, who recently met with the Prime Minister in New Delhi along with trustees. This visit comes immediately after the conclusion of local self-government elections in Gujarat. During this time, the Prime Minister will also be honored with the ‘Sardar Ratna’ award by major organizations of the Patidar community in recognition of his role in social reforms.

The Sardar Dham complex spans approximately 4.75 lakh square feet and has been constructed at a cost of around 150 crore rupees. It includes 278 residential rooms, an NRI guest house, an e-library, a career guidance center, training facilities, and an auditorium with a seating capacity for about 1,000 people.

Gajji Sutaria, president of the Sardar Dham Trust, stated, “Under Mission 2026, the development of Sardar Dham One, Two, and Three is underway. The Prime Minister will inaugurate the Sardar Dham Building, built at a cost of 150 crore rupees, which aims to benefit around 2,000 children.”

He further added, “The organization is working towards the holistic development of youth by bringing together donors, industrialists, traders, and government schemes. The first and second phases of the project have been completed, where thousands of students reside. Further projects are ongoing in Rajkot, Surat, and Mehsana. There are also plans to establish Sardar Dham University.”

Former Gujarat minister Govardhan Jhadphia remarked, “This is not just a hostel or boarding facility. It has been developed as a comprehensive development center for youth, including coaching, startup support, vocational guidance, and skill development.”

He continued, “Community organizations will come together at the inauguration event, where the Prime Minister will be honored with the Sardar Ratna award. According to organizers, members of the Patidar community and dignitaries from across Gujarat are expected to attend the event in Vadodara, and a roadshow may also be organized from the airport to the Sardar Dham complex. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, the Deputy Chief Minister, members of the state cabinet, and representatives from various sectors are also expected to be present.”
