
New Delhi, May 13: The counting of votes for the municipal and local body elections in Haryana is underway. Results from several wards indicate a remarkable victory for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his congratulations to party workers regarding this achievement.
In a post on the social media platform ‘X’, PM Modi expressed his deep gratitude to the members of his family in the state for the BJP’s impressive win in the Haryana municipal elections.
He stated that this victory reaffirms the unwavering trust the public has in the development and governance policies adopted by the BJP-NDA government. It also symbolizes the confidence that the people of Haryana have in the state’s “double-engine government.” On this occasion, he wholeheartedly congratulated all party workers who played a pivotal role in this success.
The BJP has made significant gains in municipalities across Panchkula, Ambala, Sonipat, Sampla, Dharuhera, and Rewari, while an independent candidate won in the Uklana municipality. In Panchkula, BJP’s Shyamlal Bansal emerged victorious, while Akshita Saini won in Ambala, and Rajeev Jain secured a win in Sonipat.
Additionally, BJP’s Praveen Koch in Sampla, Ajay Jangra in Dharuhera, and Vinita Peepal in Rewari also claimed victory. Meanwhile, independent candidate Reema Soni triumphed in Uklana.
