Praveen Khandelwal Criticizes Congress Leader Ajay Rais Remarks Against PM Modi

New Delhi, May 22: Lok Sabha MP Praveen Khandelwal sharply criticized Congress leader Ajay Rai for his disrespectful comments against Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a recent conversation. Khandelwal stated that the language used reflects not just an individual’s mindset but also the broader mentality and political culture of the Congress party.

He expressed surprise at the lack of response from Congress’s top leadership regarding Rai’s statement. Notably, Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi have not commented on the issue, raising questions about whether this silence indicates the party’s tacit approval. Khandelwal warned that remaining silent on such statements is not a positive sign for democratic politics. He noted that such remarks are weakening Congress’s standing among the public, adversely affecting its performance in elections.

Khandelwal also targeted the opposition alliance, claiming it has become merely a name with no real presence on the ground. He referred to it as a ‘thugbandhan,’ a coalition of opportunists where each party acts in its own interest. Following recent comments from Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav, Khandelwal asserted that the lack of unity within the alliance is now evident. He predicted that it will soon become clear that this coalition exists only on paper and lacks a solid foundation. He emphasized that the public understands such alliances and will respond accordingly when the time comes.

Additionally, Khandelwal praised Prime Minister Modi’s leadership style and vision. He described Modi as a visionary leader who works diligently towards achieving set goals. He highlighted the ‘Developed India 2047’ vision, stating that both the central and state governments, along with MPs, MLAs, and all public representatives, are collaborating to realize this dream.

He assured that responsibilities are being defined at every level to achieve this goal on time. Khandelwal expressed confidence that if everyone continues to work together, India will undoubtedly emerge as a developed nation by 2047. He stressed that this is not just a political slogan but a national mission that requires contributions from every citizen.

Khandelwal welcomed the Delhi government’s decision to issue guidelines prohibiting the sacrifice of cattle, cows, calves, camels, and other restricted animals during Bakrid. He called this decision commendable, as it respects Indian culture and traditions. He noted that every festival has its own sanctity, which must be upheld. Any actions that go beyond this can hurt societal sentiments.

He further stated that in Indian culture, cows are revered as mothers, making their protection and respect essential. Khandelwal insisted that strict action must be taken against anyone who harms cattle, advocating for tougher laws to prevent such incidents and send a clear message to society.
