Political Tensions Rise in Patna Following Police Action During Student Protests

Patna, August 26: Political tensions have escalated in Patna after police action during the Bihar student protests. Minister Ramkripal Yadav responded to the situation, asserting that the government is serious about addressing student issues and will consider their legitimate demands. He criticized the opposition, claiming that unemployed leaders are trying to manipulate students for their own agendas.

Minister Yadav emphasized, “The government is extremely serious about student issues. The Chief Minister has taken the initiative, and we have decided to consider the legitimate demands of students. The government is working diligently to resolve their problems. Some parties, using students as a shield, are more concerned about their own interests than the students’ issues. They want chaos, police action, and violence to revive their failing businesses.”

He urged students to be cautious, stating, “There are attempts to manipulate students for political gain. We request our students to recognize that both the central and state governments are committed to addressing their issues. Avoid political parties that are trying to use you for their own benefit.”

Commenting on the opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav, who visited injured students, Yadav remarked that opposition leaders are always looking for opportunities. “Whether it’s Tejashwi Yadav or leaders from other parties, they are constantly searching for chances to criticize us. They find no opportunities against the government, which is actively working on policies for every segment of society, including women, youth, farmers, and laborers.”

Discussing government initiatives for women, Yadav stated, “Our government has always prioritized women’s empowerment, a legacy of former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Prime Minister Modi. The efforts for women’s upliftment initiated by Nitish Kumar are being continued by Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary.”

He highlighted decisions made for women on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, saying, “On Raksha Bandhan, various decisions have been made to promote women’s empowerment and economic advancement. Whether it’s about employment or benefits for livelihood workers, our commitment remains strong.”
