New Delhi: Millions of students across India are eagerly awaiting the opportunity to interact with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the upcoming edition of ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’. According to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the ninth edition of this event is likely to be held in the first week of February in New Delhi.
‘Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026’ will provide a platform for students from Class 6 and above, along with teachers and parents, to engage directly with the Prime Minister. This interactive session aims to address exam-related stress and encourage a positive outlook towards studies and examinations.
Registrations for participation have crossed 45 million, with 4,50,13,379 individuals signed up. This includes not only students but also a significant number of teachers and parents who have registered to be part of the discussion with PM Modi.
CBSE has urged all schools to promote the programme extensively among students of Class 6 and above and to ensure proper arrangements for live viewing. The board aims to make ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026’ a grand success by facilitating widespread participation.
Initiated under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi, the programme seeks to unite students, educators, parents, and society at large to foster an environment that respects each child’s unique personality and encourages their growth. The Prime Minister consistently emphasizes viewing exams in the right perspective, discouraging undue stress and pressure that treat exams as a matter of life and death.
Alongside students, parents and teachers will also be part of the dialogue. The Ministry of Education highlights that such conversations help parents and teachers support students better in achieving their dreams and goals. The key objectives of ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ include reducing exam-related anxiety, boosting student confidence, and transforming learning into a positive experience.
Specifically, 4,19,14,056 students, 24,84,259 teachers, and 6,15,064 parents have registered online for the event so far.
The Education Ministry believes this special interaction brings together students, teachers, and parents to celebrate learning and exams in a constructive way. The programme will be broadcast live on Doordarshan channels including DD National, DD News, and DD India, as well as on major private TV channels. Additionally, All India Radio (both MW and FM) will air the event.
Digital platforms such as the Prime Minister’s Office website, Ministry of Education portal, Doordarshan, MyGov, and social media channels including YouTube (Education Ministry), Facebook Live, and the Swyam Prabha network will also provide live streaming of the event.
