
New Delhi, October 7 (Daily Kiran) : Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his gratitude on Wednesday to former President Ram Nath Kovind, who congratulated him on completing 25 years in public service.
Responding to Kovind’s wishes on the social media platform X, PM Modi noted the significance of Kovind’s remarks about the changes occurring in the lives of the poor and marginalized across the country.
In his post, Modi wrote, “I thank former President Shri Ram Nath Kovind for his warm words and good wishes. His thoughts on the transformations in the lives of the underprivileged resonate deeply with me. What has been achieved is a result of the collective resolve of 1.4 billion Indians.”
Earlier, Kovind had sent a congratulatory message to PM Modi, marking the milestone of his 25 years in public service. He described this achievement as a historic occasion and praised Modi’s long journey and dedication to public life and national service.
Kovind shared his message on X along with a letter addressed to the Prime Minister, stating, “On the historic occasion of completing 25 years of dedicated public service as the head of the government, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.”
He further expressed his wishes for Modi’s good health and strength in the years to come, sharing his letter on the same platform.
Modi’s acknowledgment came as various political leaders and public figures congratulated him on this significant milestone in his public life. He first took office as the Chief Minister of Gujarat on October 7, 2001, marking the beginning of his political journey that eventually led him to the Prime Minister’s office.
