New Delhi, April 17 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday expressed deep grief over the loss of lives in a road accident in Assam. “I am saddened by the loss of lives due to a road accident in Biswanath district of Assam. Condolences to the families of those who lost their lives. I pray that the injured recover at the earliest,” the PM said in a tweet. At least five people were killed and several others injured in a road accident in Biswanath on Saturday night. The deceased were identified as Sanjay Basumatary (17), Koliman Basumatary (21), Bornali Boro (15), Budhimoti Boro (14) and Radhika Daimary (15). Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has directed the district administration to monitor the situation and provide the injured all necessary help. DS SY 1337
