Lucknow, May 11: Pankaj Chaudhary, the state president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Minister of State for Finance, launched a sharp attack on the Samajwadi Party (SP). He accused the opposition of politicizing every decision that serves the nation’s interests.
Chaudhary stated that the SP is viewing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal for energy conservation, promotion of indigenous products, and prudent resource utilization through a political lens, attempting to mislead the public.
In a statement released on Monday, he emphasized that Modi’s message symbolizes visionary and responsible leadership, not weakness. He noted that amid global challenges and economic instability, India is steadfastly advancing towards self-reliance and resource conservation. However, parties like the SP are misleading the public for political gain.
The BJP state president highlighted that despite the COVID-19 pandemic, global recession, and instability in international markets, India remains one of the fastest-growing economies in the world. He claimed that India is consistently reaching new heights in sectors such as digital revolution, infrastructure, startups, defense production, railways, expressways, airports, and metro systems, earning global praise for its decisive leadership and stable policies.
Chaudhary criticized the SP, pointing out that during their rule, Uttar Pradesh faced riots, corruption, power crises, mafia rule, and poor law and order. He reminded the public that under SP governance, the state was associated with crime and chaos, making investors hesitant and leaving women feeling unsafe.
He noted that the BJP government has provided free rations to the poor, farmer support schemes, the Ujjwala scheme for women, and job opportunities for youth. Under Modi’s leadership, India has established a strong identity on the global stage, with the world taking its concerns seriously.
Chaudhary remarked that SP President Akhilesh Yadav’s statements reflect political despair and frustration. After continuous electoral defeats, the SP has become issue-less and is now trying to grab headlines by commenting on every national topic. He deemed it unfortunate that calls made in the national interest are being turned into political opportunism.
The opposition should engage in positive politics on national issues rather than spreading fear and confusion. He expressed confidence that the people of the country and the state stand with development, security, and stable leadership, viewing the BJP as the only viable option for a “strong leadership, secure India, and developed India.”
