Panchen Rinpoche Advocates for Religious Harmony and National Revival

Beijing, March 9: Panchen Erdini Chos-kyi Rgyal-po, known as Panchen Rinpoche, addressed the third plenary session of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) on Sunday. As a follower of Tibetan Buddhism, he emphasized that the prosperity and stability of the nation are fundamentally guaranteed by a healthy religious heritage.

Panchen Rinpoche noted that, with the support of the party and government, Tibetan Buddhism has achieved positive results in adapting to a socialist society in recent years. There have been continuous improvements in the legal and standardized management of Buddhist temples, updates in Buddhist education, and advancements in the monk training system.

He further stated that the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation has entered an irreversible historical process, providing an unprecedented platform for the healthy development of all religions. Tibetan Buddhism will increasingly integrate into the national development mainstream, becoming a steadfast practitioner of patriotism, a loyal inheritor of excellent traditional Chinese culture, and an active contributor to the modernization of China.
