
Vivo has begun rolling out the OriginOS 6 update, based on Android 16, to the Vivo V40e and iQOO Z9s smartphones. This update marks the final phase of the company’s gradual upgrade process for eligible devices.
The Vivo V40e is receiving the update with firmware version PD2406JF_EX_A_16.2.10.1.W20, while the iQOO Z9s is getting the update tagged as PD2406F_EX_A_16.2.10.1.W30. Despite the different firmware versions, both updates deliver the same new features and improvements.
Currently, the update is available only to users who have signed up for the trial program. To join, users can navigate to Settings > About Phone > System updates > version Trial > Trial version > download and install on their devices.
The OriginOS 6 update brings several visual enhancements and new functionalities. Notable additions include the new Origin Island feature for real-time updates and enhanced multitasking capabilities. The Control Center has been improved with a better notification center, advanced lighting effects, and refreshed system fonts.
