Oppositions Economic Narrative Shifted by GDP Figures: Pankaj Chaudhary

Lucknow, September 1: Amid ongoing questions from the opposition regarding the country’s economy, Finance Minister of State Pankaj Chaudhary stated on Tuesday that the first-quarter GDP figures are a testament to India’s robust economic growth journey. He asserted that while the opposition mourns the state of India’s economy at every platform, the GDP data has completely altered their political narrative.

In a video message shared on the social media platform X, Chaudhary highlighted that under Prime Minister Modi‘s leadership and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman‘s supervision, the country’s GDP grew at a rate of 7.8 percent in the first quarter. This figure reflects the strength of India’s economy and its ongoing development trajectory.

He noted, “The manufacturing sector is growing at 9.2 percent, and the services sector at 10 percent. These figures indicate that India’s economy is advancing robustly, establishing new dimensions of growth.”

Chaudhary also targeted the opposition, stating that leaders who label India as a ‘dead economy’ will now find it difficult to cope with the nation’s economic progress. He emphasized that while the opposition thrives on despair, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government focuses on development.

He remarked that the opposition may be displeased with the data, but the citizens of India are pleased with the country’s growing economy. India’s development journey continues, and no matter how much noise the opposition makes, the GDP scoreboard under Modi’s leadership narrates the story of India’s uninterrupted growth.

Chaudhary concluded by stating that strong GDP growth not only reflects the pace of the economy but also indicates that India is consistently strengthening its position in the global economic landscape. He affirmed that the government’s focus is on development, employment, and boosting economic activities, and the results are now evident in the statistics.
