New Delhi, July 20: Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut has launched a scathing attack on the central government, responding to the protests led by Sonam Wangchuk.
Speaking to reporters, Raut stated that those with “56-inch chests” are afraid of children. He questioned their understanding of the current situation and what lies ahead. Raut remarked that they believed they could eliminate the public like pests, but the protesters are now gathering in large numbers at Jantar Mantar.
Regarding the Ram Mandir donation controversy, Raut noted that support for the movement is growing in major cities across the country. He mentioned a significant protest held in Mumbai yesterday, where Uddhav Thackeray, Aaditya Thackeray, and many others gathered in large numbers. Protests also took place in Pune and Nagpur. Raut emphasized that every child sitting at Jantar Mantar is a leader. He lamented that the dignity of the opposition in Parliament has diminished.
Raut challenged those in power to reflect on their role in the freedom movement, stating they should not worry about “Vande Mataram.” He issued a challenge to recite four lines of “Vande Mataram” without reading them. He reiterated that the donation controversy is a significant issue, with thousands taking to the streets in protest.
Meanwhile, Chandrashekhar, leader of the Azad Samaj Party, asserted that the government must heed the voices of the youth. He warned that if the government turns against young people, no MP will win. He emphasized the need for the government to listen to their concerns, noting that while protests often lead to metro shutdowns, the youth remain undeterred.
