Oppo is reportedly preparing multiple foldable smartphones for 2026. While the Oppo Find N6 is anticipated to launch this month in China, new information from SmartPrix reveals that the company is also developing the Oppo Find N7. This upcoming model is expected to adopt a unique design and is likely aimed at competing with Apple’s first foldable phone.
Distinctive Design and Key Features of Oppo Find N7
The Oppo Find N7 is said to differ from the Find N6 by featuring a wider foldable design. When folded, it will resemble the size and shape of a passport, unfolding into a landscape-oriented tablet-like display. This design promises a broader viewing area compared to conventional horizontal foldables, potentially enhancing media consumption and productivity.
In terms of specifications, the Find N7 is expected to share several key components with the Find N6. Reports suggest the device could be equipped with a 200-megapixel primary camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens. The battery capacity is likely to be 6,000mAh, supporting 80W fast wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
The Find N6 itself is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and features an 8.12-inch internal foldable screen alongside a 6.62-inch cover display. Both screens have 20-megapixel cameras for selfies and video calls. The device is expected to weigh around 225 grams and come in Titanium, Deep Black, and Golden Orange colours.
Launch Timeline and Market Positioning
The Oppo Find N7 is expected to launch a few months after the Find N6, with September being the likely timeframe. Oppo has not yet officially confirmed the Find N7, but further details are expected closer to the launch date. This model appears to be designed as a direct competitor to Apple’s first foldable phone, which is rumored to be released alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max later this year.
In related developments, Samsung is also reportedly working on a wider foldable smartphone, tentatively named the Galaxy Wide Fold. It is expected to launch in July alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8, sharing a design approach similar to Apple’s foldable device.
