Odisha Government Approves 18 Industrial Projects Worth ₹3,877 Crores

Bhubaneswar, April 21: The Odisha government’s State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) has approved 18 industrial projects with a total investment of ₹3,877.14 crores.

In an official statement, it was revealed that these approvals were granted during the 146th meeting of the SLSWCA, chaired by Chief Secretary Anu Garg. These projects are expected to generate 7,565 job opportunities across 11 districts, including Balasore, Deogarh, Ganjam, Jajpur, Jharsuguda, Keonjhar, Khurda, Koraput, Puri, Sambalpur, and Sundargarh.

The state government highlighted that the approved projects reflect a focused strategy to build a diverse industrial ecosystem in Odisha, encompassing advanced manufacturing, green industries, infrastructure, healthcare, and tourism. This approach aims to ensure significant job creation across various sectors.

Notable projects include a proposal by Runaya Ecart Aluminium Powders Private Limited to establish a gas-atomized spherical aluminum powder manufacturing unit in Jharsuguda district, with an investment of ₹300 crores.

Additionally, companies such as Scan Steels Limited, Jai Jagannath Steel and Power Limited, and SS Alufoils International Limited have proposed to enhance their production capacities for steel, iron, and iron alloys. This move further solidifies Odisha’s position as a leading metal manufacturing hub in India while creating substantial industrial employment.

The SLSWCA has also approved several other industrial projects in sectors like industrial materials, electronics system design and manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and medical devices, shipbuilding and marine manufacturing, as well as tourism and hospitality.

Official sources noted that over the past two years, the state government has successfully initiated and inaugurated more than 150 industrial projects, demonstrating a strong commitment to transforming investment intentions into tangible industrial activity.
