No One Above the Law in New Uttar Pradesh, Says Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath honors fallen police officers, emphasizing a law-abiding Uttar Pradesh free from crime and lawlessness.

Lucknow, October 21 (Daily Kiran) : Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid tribute to police personnel who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty during Police Commemoration Day. He took to social media platform X to highlight the transformation in Uttar Pradesh, asserting that no one is above the law in the state.

In his message, Adityanath expressed gratitude to the brave officers who gave their lives to ensure national security and maintain peace in society. He described their courage, dedication, and sacrifice as a constant source of inspiration for everyone.

The Chief Minister criticized the previous administration, stating that prior to 2017, the state was plagued by mafia rule. He recalled the tragic incident at Jawahar Bagh in Mathura, where police officers lost their lives while upholding the law against criminal elements.

Adityanath emphasized that in the new Uttar Pradesh, the law reigns supreme. He noted that the state has transformed from a place of unrest to one of celebration. Police now have the autonomy to take decisive action against criminals. With over 226,000 police recruitments, a tenfold increase in training capacity, and the establishment of cyber police stations and women’s help desks in every district, law enforcement is now more competent, modern, and accountable. The government has acted against 88,973 criminals under the Gangster Act, seizing over ₹15,000 crore in illegal assets, demonstrating its strong commitment to combating crime.

The Chief Minister reassured citizens that the sacrifices of police personnel and their families will always be remembered. He pledged to continue efforts to make Uttar Pradesh a safe, just, and fear-free environment.
