Nishant Kumar Joins JD(U), Sparks Enthusiasm Among Supporters in Patna

Patna, March 8: Nishant Kumar, the son of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, is set to officially join the Janata Dal (United) on Sunday. In anticipation of his joining, supporters have covered the streets of Patna with posters of Nishant Kumar. Security arrangements have also been made at the JD(U) office for the event. Nishant will join the party at 1 PM, where he will be welcomed by senior leaders, including the party’s National Executive President, Sanjay Jha.

Speculation about Nishant Kumar’s entry into JD(U) has been ongoing for quite some time. Now, he will formally take membership on Sunday. Sanjay Jha announced on Saturday that a meeting of the legislative assembly was held in the presence of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday. During this meeting, the demand to bring Nishant Kumar into politics was presented to the Chief Minister, who accepted it. Nishant will start working for the party the following day.

Sanjay Jha expressed optimism about the future of Bihar and JD(U), stating that Nitish Kumar’s role is merely changing. During the session, Nitish Kumar will spend some time in Delhi but will continue to oversee work in Bihar. He emphasized that there should be no misunderstanding that Nitish Kumar has permanently moved to Delhi; he will remain informed about development projects in Bihar and continue to provide guidance.

Regarding Nishant Kumar’s future role, a JD(U) MP mentioned that the party leadership will decide what position he will take and whether he will be included in the government. JD(U) state president Umesh Singh Kushwaha assured that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will remain in Bihar and that the government will operate under his guidance. There has been a collective demand for Nishant Kumar’s inclusion in the party, which has now been accepted.
