Dispur, August 3: A significant opportunity has emerged for individuals in the medical field seeking government employment. The National Health Mission (NHM) Assam has officially announced the recruitment of 2,204 staff nurse positions on a contractual basis. This announcement comes through an official notification aimed at eligible and interested candidates.
Among the 2,204 vacancies, there are 1,701 positions for the Open Category (UR), 44 for OBC/MOBC, 80 for ST(H), 209 for SC, and 170 for the tea garden community.
The online application process commenced on August 1 and will close on August 15. Candidates wishing to apply can successfully submit their registration forms on the NHM Assam official website before the deadline.
Applicants must have completed a B.Sc Nursing or DNM course from a nursing school/institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council and registered with the Assam Nurses, Midwives and Health Visitors Council.
The maximum age limit for applicants is set at 40 years, calculated as of January 1. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per regulations. Selection of eligible candidates will be based on shortlisting, interviews/selection tests, and document verification. Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary of ₹20,000.
Candidates should note that the list of shortlisted applicants will be published only on the NHM Assam official portal. No individual call letters will be sent for the interview/selection test. Therefore, candidates are advised to regularly check the official portal for updates related to the shortlist and other information.
