Ranchi, August 27: The devastating natural disaster in Nepal has heightened concerns for a young man from Jharkhand who has gone missing. His family is increasingly anxious as BJP spokesperson Sandeep Verma emphasized the need for the state government and administration to act with sensitivity and urgency in gathering information about the missing individual. Verma expressed condolences for the tragedy in Nepal and assured that the central government would provide all possible assistance.
According to available information, a young man from Jharkhand is reported missing in the Trishuli region. The entire nation is mourning this disaster, and India’s sympathies are with the people of Nepal. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has spoken with Nepal’s Prime Minister, offering necessary support. Regarding the missing Jharkhand youth, Verma urged the state government and administration to promptly contact relevant agencies and Nepalese authorities to gather information.
Verma also warned that the disaster in Nepal serves as a cautionary tale for construction activities in mountainous areas. He stated that excessive interference with the natural paths of mountains and rivers could lead to severe consequences in the future. Citing the 2013 Kedarnath disaster, he stressed the need for distinct planning and construction policies for hilly regions. He noted that many Indians have also been affected by this natural disaster, which has reached Nepal via Tibet. Reports indicate that some Indians on the Kailash Mansarovar pilgrimage are also missing.
