NCP hits out at Centre over inflation

Aurangabad/Mumbai, April 20 : NCP Chief spokesperson Mahesh Tapase has criticised the Modi government over inflation. In a official statement, Mr Tapase stated that, the Wholesale Price Index (WPI) inflation in the country has reached its highest level in 30 years. Attempts were made to show the people the dream of a better future but today the per capita income of the people has come down due to inflation, it said. He expressed suspicion that a conspiracy to create communal tensions on the occasion of Ram Navami and Hanuman Jayanti was hatched to cover up rising inflation. He has also suggested that the Prime Minister should speak to the media about the government’s plans to reduce inflation at a time when inflation is on the rise. He further stated that the state president of AAP has given a letter to Pawar, seeking Pawar should raise voice against the politics of polarization of religious hatred in the country. Secular parties should come together, strengthen their hands and defend the constitution, he mentioned. Even, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and the Congress have also backed the demand. Mr Tapase also clarified that the day is not far for the UPA government to come in the country as anti-BJP organisations have started forming in the country, added Tapase. VKB NV SY 1542
