Mohamed Salah Announces Departure from Liverpool After Nine Remarkable Years

New Delhi, March 25: Football superstar Mohamed Salah has announced his decision to leave Liverpool FC. His contract with the club will expire at the end of this season, and it will not be renewed. This news was confirmed by both Salah and the club.

Salah shared this information via social media. In an emotional video message, he expressed his desire for fans to hear the news directly from him. He referred to this announcement as the “first part of his farewell,” suggesting that more goodbye messages may follow in the future.

At 33 years old, Salah joined Liverpool from AS Roma in 2017 for approximately $50 million. Over his tenure, he has played 435 matches and scored 255 goals, making him the club’s third all-time top scorer. Salah has firmly established himself as one of the club’s greatest players.

During his nine years at Liverpool, Salah has led the team to numerous historic successes. His contributions were pivotal in winning major titles, including the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, FA Cup, League Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, and UEFA Super Cup.

On a personal level, Salah has won the Premier League Golden Boot four times, equaling Thierry Henry’s record. His first season in 2017-18, where he scored 44 goals, is still regarded as one of the most outstanding individual performances in Premier League history.

In his farewell message, Salah expressed deep emotions for the club, the city, and the fans. He stated that Liverpool is not just a club for him, but a feeling, a history, and a soul. He reminisced about the moments when the team celebrated victories and stood together during tough times.

Salah’s departure marks a significant loss for Liverpool.
