
Lucknow, May 30: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader Mayawati has expressed her sorrow over the murder of Surya Chauhan in Ghaziabad. She took to the social media platform X to describe the incident as extremely tragic and concerning. Mayawati emphasized the need for the government and administration to take appropriate measures to prevent such recurring incidents.
She further urged that the criminals involved in this case should be identified and given legal punishment. As elections approach, she warned that such incidents could have widespread negative consequences. Therefore, the government must remain vigilant.
Previously, Mayawati had expressed her condolences regarding the murder of Gopal Sharma, a 15-year-old, in Jewar, Greater Noida. In her post on X, she called this incident highly tragic and concerning. She demanded a high-level investigation by the government and strict punishment for all involved.
Mayawati also addressed the recent tragedy in Hamirpur, where several workers lost their lives due to the collapse of an under-construction bridge. She urged the government to take this matter seriously, providing adequate financial assistance to the victims’ families and ensuring proper care for the injured. She reiterated that this is a demand from the BSP as well.
On May 11, Mayawati had expressed concern over a conflict in Lalwala village, Saharanpur, where several members of the Dalit community were injured. She called for immediate and impartial action from the police and administration to restore order, while also appealing to both sides to resolve their disputes peacefully and legally.
