Greater Noida, April 24: The police in Gautam Buddh Nagar have made a significant breakthrough by dismantling a fraud ring that swindled millions through fake property registrations. Three individuals have been arrested, including two women, who have been deceiving people and illegally acquiring wealth for an extended period.
Authorities seized mobile phones, ATM cards, and a Scorpio vehicle from the suspects. According to police, the arrests occurred on April 24, based on manual intelligence and confidential information, near the Samana Canal.
The arrested suspects have been identified as Pradeep Rana, Khushboo Devi, and Jyotsna. Pradeep Rana resides in Sahara Homes, Ghaziabad, while Khushboo Devi and Jyotsna hail from Bhojpur district in Bihar. Jyotsna was currently living in the Pratap Vihar area of Ghaziabad.
Investigations revealed that this gang tricked victims by registering land using forged documents. They have reportedly defrauded individuals of approximately ₹3.03 crore. The group operated systematically, luring unsuspecting people with promises of cheap land. A total of five cases have been registered against the arrested individuals at the Jarcha police station.
Action is being taken under various sections of the Indian Penal Code. Police recovered four mobile phones, four ATM cards, and a Scorpio vehicle, which were used in the commission of the crimes.
Officials stated that efforts are underway to locate other members of the gang, and the entire network will soon be unveiled. Additionally, police have urged the public to thoroughly verify documents before engaging in any land transactions and to report any suspicious activities immediately.
