Mumbai, August 23: A severe fire erupted at the authorized Tata Motors service center located in the Kokar Industrial Area of Ranchi on Sunday. The blaze quickly escalated, engulfing several vehicles parked on the premises.
Chaos ensued after the incident at the service center. Reports indicate that multiple vehicles were stationed in the open area and workshop when smoke began to rise from some of them. Before the staff could assess the situation, flames had intensified, rapidly spreading to nearby vehicles.
Seeing the thick smoke and flames, employees and local residents immediately alerted the fire department and local police. Fire engines arrived promptly and commenced firefighting efforts. After considerable effort, firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control.
Unfortunately, by that time, several vehicles had been severely damaged by the flames. There are also concerns regarding potential damage to the service center’s equipment. The center is operated by Basudev Motor Company. Following the incident, police arrived to evaluate the situation. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire.
Preliminary assessments suggest that a short circuit may have triggered the blaze. However, the exact cause will be confirmed only after a thorough investigation. Fortunately, there have been no reports of injuries related to the incident. Police and fire department teams are actively investigating the matter.
