Major Drug Bust in Mumbai: Female Trafficker Arrested

Mumbai, March 21: In a significant crackdown on the illegal drug trade, the Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) of Mumbai Police has arrested a female drug trafficker. The accused, identified as 23-year-old Nazia Mansoorali Syed, was allegedly supplying narcotics across several areas, including Bandra.

According to police reports, Nazia was not only selling drugs herself but was also facilitating the distribution of heroin through other traffickers in various parts of the city. She was particularly active in Bandra East and its surrounding areas, where her entire network operated. The case came to light when a video related to her drug trafficking activities went viral on social media. Following the video’s exposure, the police department was alerted and initiated immediate action.

The ANC’s Bandra unit utilized technical surveillance to track down the accused. Subsequently, a police team raided the slum area of Garib Nagar in Bandra East, leading to Nazia’s arrest. During the search, approximately ₹4.8 lakh worth of heroin was seized from her possession. The police have registered a case against her under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Initial investigations suggest that Nazia may be linked to a larger drug syndicate.

Currently, the police are conducting an in-depth investigation into her supply chain, contacts, and the extent of her network. Officials indicate that this arrest could unveil several other prominent names connected to the active drug network in Mumbai. Additionally, efforts are underway to identify the source of the viral video and the individuals featured in it.
