New Delhi, September 23 (Daily Kiran) : Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta met with 40 students from Maharashtra on Wednesday at the secretariat as part of the ‘Campus to Parliament’ initiative. This program aims to connect young people directly with the workings of Parliament and public life.
Gupta shared details about the initiative on social media platform X. Conceptualized by Rajya Sabha MP and BJP National General Secretary Vinod Tawde, the initiative seeks to provide students with a closer understanding of the country’s governance system.
The Chief Minister praised the program, emphasizing that it offers youth a valuable opportunity to learn about India’s administrative framework. The students from Maharashtra will tour the Parliament House, the Presidential Residence, and the National War Memorial. They will also have the chance to interact with central ministers, civil service officials, and public figures, enriching their learning experience and enhancing their understanding of governance.
Highlighting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s unwavering faith in the potential of youth, Gupta noted that initiatives like ‘Campus to Parliament’ help young people understand their role in nation-building. She congratulated the entire team behind the initiative for their efforts.
Vinod Tawde responded to Gupta’s post, expressing gratitude for her engagement with the students. He remarked, “The foundation of a developed India is its youth.” Tawde thanked the Chief Minister for taking the time to converse with the students, who are gaining insights into the nation’s policymakers and public service through this experience.
He added that the shared experiences from the Chief Minister would aid the students in understanding the country’s development journey and will be beneficial for their promising futures.
