Maharashtra Minister Accuses Opposition of Pushing Sharia Law Amidst Constitutional Struggles

Maharashtra Minister Nitesh Rane claims the INDIA alliance aims to impose Sharia law, opposing the Constitution established by Dr. Ambedkar.

Mumbai, November 2 (Daily Kiran) : Maharashtra Minister Nitesh Rane has made strong accusations against the INDIA alliance, alleging that its leaders are intent on implementing Sharia law in the country while opposing the Constitution crafted by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. Speaking to reporters, Rane emphasized the need to protect democracy and the constitutional framework, asserting that the opposition coalition seeks to dismantle the current democratic system.

Rane stated, “Isn’t it essential to safeguard democracy? The members of the INDIA alliance want to impose Sharia law. They are against Baba Saheb Ambedkar and the Constitution he established. This is why they do not support the Election Commission or the Supreme Court. They aim to destroy the entire constitutional structure and democratic order to enforce Sharia law in the country.”

He further described the ongoing struggle as a battle between Sharia and the Constitution, reaffirming his commitment to uphold the latter. Rane noted that rallies are being organized under the leadership of Devendra Fadnavis and Eknath Shinde to defend the Constitution.

Criticizing a recent rally held by the INDIA alliance at Delhi’s Ram Lila Maidan, Rane claimed that the turnout was disappointing. “It was evident that people did not show up. Numerous videos displayed empty chairs, and there were hardly any attendees in sight. If a film’s hero flops, the film is bound to fail. That’s exactly what happened at Ram Lila Maidan,” he remarked.

In response to comments made by Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi during the rally regarding Shiv Tandav and Shiv Bharat, Rane highlighted the inclusivity of Sanatan Hinduism, inviting participation from all individuals. However, he questioned whether Hindus receive the same welcome during Eid and Muharram celebrations, suggesting that Gandhi should have posed this question to the Muslim League leaders present on stage.

Additionally, Rane reacted to Bollywood actress Dia Mirza‘s social media post urging environmentally friendly Diwali celebrations. He pointed out that similar calls for eco-friendly practices are rarely made during Eid, Muharram, or Bakrid. “Whenever Holi or Diwali approaches, people are advised to celebrate in an eco-friendly manner. If similar advice were extended for Ramadan or Bakrid, it would indicate a consistent approach to all festivals,” he concluded.
