Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar Dies in Plane Crash, Leaders Express Grief

New Delhi: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and NCP leader Ajit Pawar died in a tragic plane crash on Wednesday. The incident claimed the lives of all five people onboard. Following the accident, family members and supporters gathered at Baramati Medical College and Hospital.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari expressed his sorrow, saying, Ajit Pawar‘s death is unfortunate. He was a close friend and had familial ties with me. His passing is a great loss. On behalf of the party and personally, I pay my respects and pray that God grants him peace.”

Union Minister Piyush Goyal also mourned the loss, stating, “We are all saddened today. He was a close friend and a prominent leader of Maharashtra.”

Union Minister C.R. Patil confirmed the details of the crash to reporters, adding, “I have seen the actual pictures of the plane, and it is now confirmed that all five people on board have died. Ajit Pawar was Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister and had a strong political presence in the state for many years. He accomplished significant work. His sudden death leaves a large void in Maharashtra politics.”

Patil further remarked, Ajit Pawar‘s family holds great respect in Maharashtra, and his demise is a major loss for the state. During his tenure, no political influence could challenge or overlook him. His sudden passing will change the entire political scenario, and its impact will be felt for a long time.”

Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy paid tribute, saying, “The death of Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar in the plane crash is a huge loss. I offer my heartfelt condolences to the people of Maharashtra and his family. He was a brave leader who made important decisions for Maharashtra’s development and stood firmly in politics, always prioritising the state’s progress and the welfare of the poor.”

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya also expressed grief, stating, “The sad news from Maharashtra is that Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar died in a plane crash. This loss grieves not only the people of Maharashtra but the entire country. He was a strong NDA ally and widely respected among the people of Maharashtra.”

The sudden demise of Ajit Pawar has deeply impacted Maharashtra’s political landscape and has elicited condolences from leaders across the nation.
