
Bhopal, May 8: The government of Madhya Pradesh is placing a strong emphasis on green energy. As part of this initiative, the installation of solar energy systems is being actively encouraged. Consequently, a total of 121,392 solar units have been installed under the PM Solar Home Scheme across the state.
Amanbir Singh Bains, Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh Energy Development Corporation, reported that these solar units have been successfully set up in 121,392 homes.
The central government has allocated ₹847.13 crores in grants for the establishment of these solar systems.
So far, 192,647 applications have been received. The processing of these applications is progressing swiftly, ensuring that installations continue at a rapid pace.
Bains emphasized that efforts are ongoing to meet the set targets. He also mentioned that vendors who excel in the installation of solar units will be recognized, while those who do not perform adequately will face action.
During a progress review at the Bhopal headquarters, Bains gathered information from all vendors regarding any challenges they are facing. He assured that all issues encountered in the field will be addressed promptly to achieve the government’s targets within the stipulated timeframe.
