Madhya Pradesh Government Enhances Welfare Measures for Education Department Employees

Bhopal, September 28 (Daily Kiran) : The Madhya Pradesh government has stepped up welfare initiatives for teachers and staff within the school education department. Over the past few days, 851 orders for compassionate appointments have been issued for the dependents of deceased employees.

In a statement released on Monday, the government highlighted efforts to resolve long-pending cases and provide financial assistance to eligible families. Just two days prior, 251 orders were issued, bringing the total to 851.

Additionally, the government has launched camps where teachers and staff can submit their grievances online, facilitating quicker resolutions to their pending issues.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, the Madhya Pradesh government is committed to achieving good governance at the grassroots level, prioritizing sensitivity, prompt decision-making, and public welfare.

These employee-focused measures are part of a broader strategy to strengthen the education system, addressing the needs of both students and teachers. The government is also concentrating on improving the quality of education through technology, infrastructure, and employment-oriented programs.

The statement further noted that efforts have been accelerated to provide financial support to families of deceased teachers and staff through long-pending compassionate appointments.

The government offers various benefits to students, including free textbooks, bicycles, uniforms, laptops, and scooters. Under the merit-based student incentive scheme, students scoring 70% or more in their Class 12 board exams receive ₹25,000 to assist with laptop purchases.

Earlier this month, over ₹300 crore was transferred to the accounts of more than 121,000 students under this scheme.

In higher education, ‘Prime Minister College of Excellence’ has been established in all 55 districts, offering both traditional and vocational courses.

To streamline admissions and other processes, the department has introduced ‘Education Portal 3.0’ and ‘Student Directory Management System.’

The government stated that its educational initiatives aim to integrate academic education with technology, skills, and employment opportunities, while also strengthening the role of teachers within the system.
