Bhopal, May 1: Madhya Pradesh’s Energy Minister, Pradyuman Singh Tomar, launched the ‘Your Servant at Your Door’ campaign on Friday at PGV College in Gwalior’s Ward 36. He engaged directly with residents, addressing their concerns on-site. During his visit, he expressed dissatisfaction with the state of sanitation and reprimanded the local municipal officials, instructing them to improve cleanliness immediately.
Minister Tomar emphasized that cleanliness is the first step towards a healthy life. He urged residents to keep their surroundings clean and contribute to making Gwalior greener. He promoted the message of “Clean Hands, Healthy Body” to reach every citizen.
He called for a collective effort to clean the dust and dirt, stating that the cleanliness campaign should evolve into a mass movement across Gwalior. He encouraged individuals not to litter and to prevent others from doing so, rallying the slogan, “We will not create dirt, nor will we allow it.”
On May 1, at 9 AM, Minister Tomar arrived at PGV College’s main gate in Gwalior’s Ward 36. He interacted with local citizens to gather information about various government welfare schemes and directed timely resolutions for complaints related to electricity, water, sewage, and sanitation.
The Energy Minister also engaged with residents in areas such as Sikrwari Mohalla, New Shanti Nagar, Dhobi Ghat, Hazarishwar Mahadev Temple, Bade Mahadev Temple, and the Scheduled Caste settlement as part of the ‘Your Servant at Your Door’ initiative. During his ward visit, he had lunch at Ashok Khare’s home in the Balmiki community, enjoying jackfruit curry and bread. He also instructed the installation of fencing around electric transformers for safety and the repair of dangling power lines. Local representatives and departmental officials were present during the visit.
