New Delhi, March 20: On the Sacrifice Day of Rani Avantibai Lodhi, a prominent figure of the First War of Independence in 1857, political leaders across the nation paid their respects. From Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, many representatives honored her indomitable courage, leadership, and patriotism.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took to social media platform ‘X’ to express, “On the Sacrifice Day of Rani Avantibai Lodhi, the immortal symbol of national pride from the 1857 uprising, I pay my humble tribute. Her unparalleled courage, leadership, and ultimate sacrifice for the motherland are a golden chapter in Indian history. Her life is an inspiring example of women’s power and patriotism.”
On this solemn occasion, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma remarked, “On the Sacrifice Day of the great warrior Rani Avantibai Lodhi, the architect of the 1857 revolution, I respectfully bow to her.”
Central Minister and Uttar Pradesh BJP President Pankaj Chaudhary wrote, “On the Sacrifice Day of the great warrior Rani Avantibai Lodhi, who sacrificed her life fighting against the British in the 1857 revolution, I offer my heartfelt homage. The nation will always remember her unique courage, fearless struggle, and extraordinary sacrifice.”
Rajasthan’s Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari also paid tribute to Avantibai Lodhi, stating, “On the death anniversary of the great warrior Rani Avantibai Lodhi, the pioneer of the liberation movement in the 1857 revolution, I offer my humble respects.”
Uttar Pradesh’s Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya shared on ‘X’, “On the Sacrifice Day of the immortal ‘warrior’ Rani Avantibai Lodhi, a symbol of unmatched courage and valor from the 1857 freedom struggle, I pay my humble tribute. Her unparalleled bravery and supreme sacrifice will always inspire the nation’s spirit of patriotism and pride.”
BJP MP Yogendra Chandolia from North-West Delhi expressed, “On the Sacrifice Day of the great freedom fighter Rani Avantibai Lodhi, a symbol of national pride, unmatched courage, and valor, I pay my humble tribute. Rani Avantibai Lodhi played a leading role in the 1857 uprising, challenging British rule with her bravery, valor, and determination, dedicating everything for the honor of the nation.”
He further added, “The immortal saga of Rani Avantibai Lodhi’s sacrifice continues to inspire every citizen towards patriotism, pride, and duty. Such a great warrior deserves our utmost respect.”
Gaurav Gautam, Haryana’s Minister of Sports, also paid tribute, stating, “During the 1857 revolution, when Mother India was shackled in chains of subjugation, this brave daughter of Ramgarh took up the sword and shook the foundations of British rule. To prevent her from falling into enemy hands, she sacrificed her own life. This was her unwavering pride. Rani Avantibai Lodhi taught us that the honor of the motherland is greater than life itself. Her valorous tale remains alive in the hearts of every Indian and will continue to inspire future generations.”
