Defense Minister Rajnath Singh shared on X, “On the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima, I extend heartfelt wishes to all citizens. In Indian tradition, a guru is not only a giver of knowledge but also a sculptor of character and values in a person’s life. The guru-disciple tradition is an invaluable heritage of our cultural consciousness, guiding generations towards truth, service, dedication, and national duty. On this sacred occasion, we bow to all our gurus and resolve to continue on the path of national service.”
Home Minister Amit Shah also posted on X, “Warm wishes to all citizens on ‘Guru Purnima.’ The guru, who enriches the lives of disciples with the nectar of knowledge, holds the highest place in Indian culture. I pay my respects to all teachers who build character and improve the future of society and the nation.”
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla remarked in his X post, “Guru Purnima is a celebration of the eternal consciousness of Indian culture, which has illuminated society with knowledge, values, truth, and humanity for centuries. This is an opportunity to express gratitude to all the gurus who have provided direction, vision, and purpose in our lives.”
He further stated, “Gurus are the force that not only impart knowledge of letters but also teach the art of living. They recognize the hidden talents within individuals, awaken their self-confidence, and inspire them to remain steadfast in the path of truth, duty, and righteousness, even in difficult circumstances. In our glorious tradition, the guru is given a place superior to God, as they dispel the darkness of ignorance and ignite the lamp of knowledge. From Maharishi Vedavyasa to the great teachers of the modern era, the guru-disciple tradition has preserved India’s spiritual, cultural, and intellectual heritage. On this auspicious occasion, I respectfully bow to every guru, teacher, mentor, and source of inspiration who has shaped our lives. Heartfelt wishes to all citizens on Guru Purnima.”
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari shared on X, “Tasmai Shri Gurave Namah. Heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all citizens on the auspicious festival of Guru Purnima.”
Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan posted on X, “On Guru Purnima, I offer countless salutations at the feet of Jagadguru Adi Shankaracharya! He who dispels the darkness of ignorance and awakens the eternal light of non-duality is a timeless beacon of knowledge and devotion. He has given us the eternal truth that we are all parts of the same consciousness; there is no other. This consciousness pervades humans, animals, trees, rivers, mountains, and all of creation. By establishing four seats of learning in the four directions of India, he wove the country into an unbreakable cultural thread.”
The minister added, “Today, if India stands before the world with its eternal consciousness, cultural unity, and spiritual integrity, it is the fruit of the penance, sacrifice, and wisdom of revered Bhagavadpada Acharya. In a time when the world grapples with war, conflict, hatred, and discontent, the non-dual philosophy of the first guru illuminates the path of peace, harmony, and global brotherhood.”
Union Minister Manohar Lal posted on X, “Without a guru, knowledge does not arise; without a guru, liberation is unattainable. In eternal culture, the guru is considered the embodiment of the Supreme Brahman. The sacred festival of Guru Purnima is an opportunity for all of us to express reverence, gratitude, and respect towards our teachers. May you continuously receive the blessings of your gurus. I wish for your life to be prosperous, righteous, and beneficial to society.”
