New Delhi, July 29: During a discussion in the Lok Sabha regarding amendments to the anti-paper leak law, BJP MP Anurag Thakur asserted that incidents of exam malpractices and paper leaks pose a serious challenge, akin to terrorism and Maoism. He emphasized that the Modi government is committed to finding a permanent solution to this issue. Thakur also sharply responded to Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi’s remarks during the debate.
Thakur stated, “The disruptions in examinations and paper leaks are no less dangerous than terrorism or Maoism, as the primary victims are the youth of our country. I want to assure the youth that the Modi government will find a concrete solution to the paper leak problem.”
He claimed that just as the Modi government has effectively controlled challenges like terrorism and Naxalism, decisive action will also be taken against paper leaks. Thakur mentioned that the government is determined to introduce a law with provisions even stricter than anti-terrorism laws in this regard.
In response to Priyanka Gandhi’s comment about ‘cow urine experts,’ Thakur said he would address it later but expressed that her remarks were hurtful. He accused Gandhi of disrespecting esteemed scientists like Professor V. Kamakoti from IIT Madras. Thakur asserted that there is nothing wrong with Professor Kamakoti’s association with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
Offering advice to Priyanka Gandhi, he said, “You should also connect with the RSS; it will provide you with values and inspire you to think about the country.”
Thakur further remarked that he initially thought Priyanka Gandhi would be better than her brother Rahul Gandhi, but now he is not so sure. He added, “The comments made by Priyanka Gandhi about the IIT Madras professor suggest that both siblings are on the same path. Perhaps they are consuming something that is impairing their judgment. Maybe they should consider consuming cow urine.”
